My name is Noah, but my stage/band name is SharK.  The reason for the name "Shark":  Sharks are badass killing machines...like me on stage.  Bottom Line: I fucking love Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.  I have a lot of music experience including sound and lighting, composition, performance, and college music experience.  I play guitar and piano as well.  I have been in numerous rock bands and I was in a rock cover band in college. I am 6'1 - 280 lbs..(no lars ulrich)..so if you're looking for a monster behind the kit, with outrageous stage presence than I am you're man!!!  I am a fucking mad man on stage! Anyway, one thing I can say about myself is, I have high attention to detail and I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my music.  I hate those sloppy ass drummers who think it's cool to play as fast as they can every second, on every fucking song, and it sounds so goddamn sloppy when they play a fill, I want to slap the fuck out of 'em and show them how to fucking practice!!!

 

MY STYLE IN A NUTSHELL:  I know how to Groove...I know how to keep a good beat-I know what people want to hear when they listen for the drums.  If your looking for somebody to play 32nd notes on double-bass on every song, then I am definately not what you're looking for.  Don't get the wrong idea...I love me some double bass...but, for me, it's the icing on the cake.  A HUGE influence in my style is Vinnie Paul (Pantera, Damage Plan)...Vinnie Paul is a Double Bass God!!!  But I believe it's all in his "Placement"...He knows when to groove...and when the time comes, he shoves the drums in your face and jams the bass down your throat...

Drummers can be notorious for their ample use of "FILLS" as well...take a look at the drummer of AC/DC though...did you ever hear that guy play a fill?  Hell no, and when you did, it was perfect...and guess what?...AC/DC rocks your ass off every fucking time!!!  I know when to play a fill and when to sit back and let the music flow...
